Gilligan’s Karaoke, just off Topsail Island

On August 2, 2009, I went to Gilligan’s for karaoke. Gilligan’s is an off-island bar, just before the causeway. It is probably the nicest place, as far as the physical facility. It is big and I have been there in the past when it was packed. This was a Sunday and the weather had been kind of crappy for most of the day, so that night there was hardly anyone there and no one was singing, except me.  I sang 3 songs and left. So to be fair I decided to go back on Friday, August 7th. This time, there were a lot more people and they continued to pour in after 10 pm. I was again the only one singing for about 3 songs and then the rotation got very large. 

I went with my sister-in-law, Carol, and nephew, Zak Schwartz. Zak is a young student at East Carolina University and an actor, singer and musician. He’s very talented. He sang a version of Desperado that the Eagles could only wish was their’s. But with the long rotation, we eventually decided to move back to the island for a closer location to home. All in all, I have to say that this is new favorite place at Topsail.  Hmmmmmmm? I seem to say that about every place I go here. Are they getting better or am I just converting to a Topsail Island attitude (“Everything’s cool, man!)?

  Good site. Some interesting and informative comments man I know, I am creeping,lol. Hopefully I can produce something like this myself. Who did you get your templates from?

  Hopefully one of you people might possibly help me out a little here. I am hoping to find someone who I was informed told was a member with this site. They used to use the name ‘wizardwebthree’.

  Because I am hoping to start my own website on beauty type content for products such as: at home teeth whitening (hence the where did you get your templates from,lol) but am having realllll difficulty getting hold of dropshippers for these goods. I had been in touch with this guy but my PC got stolen and unfortunately had all my contact details on it (I know, I know, should have backed it up )

  So if you folks have heard or seen anything of him could you send me a message please? Failing that maybe one of you folks knows someone?

  And, which hosting do you use as I keep hearing not so good things about the host I am considering of hosting my site with. Also any other informative tips you could give re starting up my website would be most useful and much appreciated.

  I hope that someone has useful information about this

  Hi Dave,

  Couldn’t find a template that I liked so did all of the work on the site and blog myself. It took me quite a while to get what I wanted. I started with a vague template from Front Page and tweaked the colors, buttons, fonts, etc until I had what I wanted. CoolestKaraoke.com is about the 4th website that I’ve designed. I am using WordPress for the blog (www.coolestkaraoke.com/blog) and used one of their templates for it. I am currently using Hostmonster.com for hosting but will probably return to ipowerweb.com next year. Both are reasonable and have their benefits. Most of the hosting companies offer some free templates to choose from.

  Never heard of ‘wizardwebthree.’ Sorry. He might have posted a comment on my site, you can check it out. But if someone spams me and doesn’t actually make a comment, I spam or delete them.

  Good luck to you. I never found a dropshipper that I especially liked, so have just gone with an information site with affiliate links and google links for now.
